I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. I studied law at university and have had many interesting jobs, including working at a cake store, at a children’s shoe store, in a legal centre helping refugees and as a youth worker in remote Northern Territory. I am currently based in Sydney, and work at a legal association.

I am inspired to write by the things I have seen and experienced. My award-winning debut junior novel, Figgy in the World, was born from memories of my three month trip to Ghana, West Africa in 2009. Many of the locations I visited and Ghanaian kids I met are depicted in my novel. The second Figgy novel is entitled Figgy and the President and the third Figgy Takes the City.

My stand-alone junior novel Blossom is a fantasy/mystery set in Australia. It follows the adventures of 10 year old Lottie, who one day discovers a strange little girl, Blossom, on her doorstep.

My most recent release is Winston and the Wondrous Wooba Gymnastics Club, which follows Winston and his new step-sister Macy as they begin their own gymnastics club in their small country town, Wooba.
