    Hi Tamsin,
We are reading your book at our school in Geraldton, Western Australia and we love it! It has made the teacher and the students laugh and cry. Hopefully this is not a spoiler, but a couple of students were very cross with you about Kwame’s fate!
We have all recommended the book to others and thank you for writing such a great novel.

Hi Tamsin, I have finished reading your book for a readers challenge in WA. And your book was amazing, it was a all rounded, brilliant book that can make everyone one happy and sad. it gives a heart filling theme that lets you see inside and love all characters. But as the book goes on it does make you cry. But that surely doesn’t make your book any worse. So if anyone ever says you book isn’t good never believe them.

This book shows me the thrilling adventures of travelling. And that makes me so happy. thank you so much for your book it has changed my mind forever.

    Dear Tamsin,

We loved the character Figgy and her story and the people we met on Figgy’s journey. Fabulous read, very moving and great to take us to a place so far away.

    Hi Tamsin,

I am going to start reading Figgy in the World to my wonderful year 1/2 class today. I too have volunteered in Ghana, working in an orphanage and teaching in a school so my class know a lot about the country already. I can’t wait to introduce them to this story and the exciting ways of Ghanaian life. Thank you for writing a story about such a beautiful place :)

    Kind regards,
    Emma.

    Hi Tamsin,

I am currently completing a number of assignments based on teaching with Figgy in the World for my final year of Uni. I have loved reading it and coming up with different ways to use it in the classroom, though my favourite part of it all are picking out the underlying themes and character profiles. Absolutely fantastic book!

    Kind Regards,
    Katherine.

    Hi Tamsin
I had to tell you this is the best book I have ever read. I am 10 years old and have just finished the last page! I found it a little sad but enjoyed the beautiful ending. I hope you are already writing another book so we can all read it soon!

I forgot to ask a question – what books did you enjoy reading when you were 10? I am looking for another good book to read now.

    Thank you

I loved Morris Gleitzman when I was a kid: books like Two Weeks with the Queen, Water Wings and Blabber Mouth. But there are lots and lots of other great books out there too!
